Sashco is pleased to introduce their new VOC compliant Lexel White formula. Lexel White is far superior to white silicones, and has all of the same impressive qualities, including exceptional adhesion, flexibility and paintability. Sashco's new formula is VOC compliant in every state, including California, and has the least odor of any sealant!
Lexel is a co-polymer rubber-based sealant. It has excellent adhesion to a wide variety of materials, even after seven days of water immersion. Although it's tougher and resists tearing, Lexel is a soft rubber. This allows it to stretch and compress with joint movement. Lexel is tougher than silicone: You can scrub Lexel with cleansers and scouring pads. Lexel won't tear out of a joint. Lexel will not rip apart the substrate when the joint expands. Lexel repairs better than silicone: It sticks to itself so you can repair it by applying new Lexel on top of the old Lexel. Lexel sticks to almost anything — wet or dry, including wallpaper, trim countertops, tubs, tile, windows, doors, etc. Adheres to acrylic, copper, most plastics, polycarbonate, polystyrene and more.
